Start before the first order
Write the conditions that make a trade valid for your method. Include an exit condition and a limit for the session. Treat these as practice rules, rather than promises about market direction.
Use a deliberate pause
Before entering, compare the trade with your written plan. If you are responding mainly to excitement, frustration or fear of missing out, pause and reassess.
Review the process
After the session, compare your intended actions with what you actually did. Pick one specific behaviour to work on next time. Simulated profit is only one part of the review.
